About Us
Our Redding Chinook facility is located off Chinook Drive in Redding, CA. We offer a “home away from home” like environment where you can bring your child to receive skilled nursing care, occupational therapy, sensory integration, and socialization services. Our dedicated staff relies on our core values to provide a loving space for your child to develop and grow.
Our Pediatric unit serves children from ages 0-22 years old, and our Transitional Care Unit allows your child to continue services with Ridgeline after the age of 22 years old as long as the program is the best fit for their needs. If you are in need of skilled nursing care for your child at any age, we’d love to hear from you!
SERVICES OFFERED
Skilled Nursing Care
Licensed nurses provide your child with the care that they need to thrive. This includes but is not limited to tracheostomy care, suctioning, gastrostomy care, colostomy care, seizure monitoring, preventing and treating severe allergies, and medication administration.
Occupational Therapy
We contract with Occupational Therapists to assist with your child’s therapy needs and sensory integration. Our OTs consult with our staff regarding exercises and techniques to be used on a day-to-day basis to help your child reach their maximum potential.
Respite Care
Our respite services are for established clients only. We provide overnight respite in a sleep-over like environment to make the respite fun for your child while providing you with a much needed break. Our regularly scheduled respites are every other week, Thurs-Sat. Respite requests outside of these regularly scheduled times are filled on a case by case basis, and we encourage our families to ask!
Music Therapy
Contracting with music therapists, Ridgeline is able to help foster a safe space for your child to meet developmental and inter-personal goals while learning through music.
Case Management Services
Ridgeline nurses can help you manage your child’s care, coordinate with their regional center, and help you manage the healthcare system to better meet your child’s needs.
Socialization
Being a part of Ridgeline means being a part of the community. We seek to offer connection and socialization as a focus in the care that we provide. Even during a global pandemic, where physical distancing has created isolation and loneliness, we have created ways to keep our clients and families safe and connected.
Pet Therapy
Rueben is a pet therapy dog that will visit Ridgeline upon request. Rueben can help calm an anxious child or just bring an extra layer of joy to everyone’s day.
Enrichment Activities
Our enrichment staff focus on the core value of play and help make Ridgeline a FUN place for your child to be!! Whether that’s creating monthly themes, dress up days, cooking projects, or art, your child is sure to have play as a part of their day when they come to Ridgeline.
Skilled Nursing Care for Pediatric Clients on our PEDS Unit
Licensed nurses provide your child with the care that they need to thrive. This includes but is not limited to tracheostomy care, suctioning, gastrostomy care, colostomy care, seizure monitoring, preventing and treating severe allergies, and medication administration.
Skilled Nursing Care for Adult Clients in our TCU
Our licensed nurses provide the same level of care as our pediatric clients for adults whose cognitive developmental level is less than 18 years of age, and meet the qualifications for skilled nursing care. Our TCU also offers a day program with enrichment activities, encourages the use of life skills, while also offering community integration.
